Roxy the Rhino

Rykken is doing very well with the nebulizer treatments. The first couple of treatments were a little traumatic for him and he ended up crying himself to sleep during the treatment last night, but all of his treatments today have been going awesome!

The sound when I first start the machine startles him a little but after I start the machine he calms down. He doesn't mind the mask at all and he doesn't try to pull it off. I hope it continues this way! I haven't noticed a difference in his breathing quite yet, but I am hoping it will make a difference soon. Here is a picture of Rykken doing his treatment this afternoon.

If you haven't noticed yet, the mask is a hot pink rhino, so I named the mask Roxy...for Rykken's entertainment of course...not my own! ;) After each treatment I give Rykken lots of kisses and hugs and praise so that hopefully it will ease the fight later on if ever it comes to that and Rykken gives Roxy a kiss, so that we can ALL be friends and hopefully he doesn't start to fear or hate the treatments later!
